The release of Cyantifics ‘Ghetto Blaster’ album earlier this year saw them push boundaries in the way contemporary drum and bass is viewed. Heralding a diverse collection of tracks from the disco-funk title track ‘Ghetto Blaster’ to the jump-up styled dance floor filler ‘Flashback’ the album took Cyantifics credibility to a new level. Jon Cyantifics skills on the 1’s and 2’s are also something to behold as many of you witnessed when we hosted the launch party for the album back in April. Double-drops, teases and a healthy dance floor selection are sure to see this party go off!!
Utah Jazz has continued his seminal rise in 2006. The massive release of his ‘It’s a jazz thing’ remix emphasized the funk and dance floor flavours heard in many of Luke’s own tunes. This fresh sensibility is a reason why tracks such as ‘Runaway’ and ‘Done & Dusted’ have such a wide reaching appeal. With many releases on liquid V and a solo EP in the pipeline there definitely more to come from ‘The jazz’. His airtight mixing prowess and on point tune selection will bring the funk to this our 2nd birthday celebration.
Since winning the coveted ‘Knowledge Mix CD’ award in 2005 23dj has gained respect from many of his peers. His tight mixing style and across the board selection has led to bookings up and down the country and even a recent appearance on 1xtra. I’m sure after you hear Signals brand new resident you will understand why he has been dubbed the ‘Welsh Friction’!
Honing his talents at the highly respected Bounce club night in Norwich. Signals new resident Messy Mc is steadily rising to prominence in the scene. Drawing influences from a plethora of music genres has helped Jay develop a unique and melodic vocal style that has seen him perform at large events such as Random Concept, Accelerated Culture and also being invited to go on tour with EZ Rollers new live project.
